Maytag maxima washing machine door locked.
None of the buttons respond.
I have unplugged it.
Located on the bottom of the door switch lock mechanism is a tear shaped tab.
Now the door is locked and the drain pump motor continually runs.
If the door lock is defective the washer door will not latch properly.
If you have unboxed your front load washer to find that the door is locked and you are unable to open it please review the following instructions.
Select drain spin to remove any water remaining in the washer.
Pull on this tab to manually unlock the door.
If the control locked light will not turn off i recommend unplugging the washer for 5 minutes.
Door locked at installation in some circumstances your new washer may arrive with the door locked.
The door may immediately unlock.
